Flatbread

Happy Mother’s Day!!! Here’s a super simple flat”bread” that you can make for your mom today or any other day because it is super simple and delicious! There is many versions of this recipe by the way because it is so versatile so try different spices if you want👍🏼

Mexican Plantain Flatbread (print here)

Ingredients:

1 large plantain, green

½ cup water

½ tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. chipotle chili powder

1 tsp. cilantro dried

1 tbsp. oil of choice, for the pan

Directions:

  1. Peel and break the plantain into pieces
  2. Place plantain and all other ingredients except the oil into a blender
  3. Pulse until combined, should be a slightly thick mixture
  4. Preheat oven to 350
  5. Grease a cast iron pan and place into oven to warm for 2-3 minutes
  6. After the pan is warm, pour the mixture into the pan and put back into the oven for 20-30 minutes or until done
  7. Take out a slice into eights and ENJOY!
