DONUTS

Been experimenting with banana flour lately🍌 and it has quickly became my favorite flour to work with! Its was kinda hard to get right (i made these three times😳) But it’s totally WORTH it! It definitely absorbs a lot of moisture so this batter should be pretty wet👍🏽 Ohhhh and it’s cheaper than all the other grain free flours!!!!

Banana Flour Donuts (print here)

1 cup banana flour

¼ cup banana, mashed

¼ cup applesauce

½ tsp. lemon juice

¼ tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp. ghee

¼ cup nut butter (we used peanut butter)

2 tsp. cinnamon

pinch of salt

optional: apple, cut into rounds

1-2 tbsp. milk

Glaze:

1 tbsp. butter or coconut oil, melted

2 tbsp. nut butter

Directions

  1. In a medium sized bowl, add banana, applesauce, nut butter, ghee and vanilla. Mix well
  2. Mix baking soda and lemon juice together then add to the mixture
  3. Add the banana flour, salt and cinnamon. You want this to be a fairly wet mixture so if its too dry add milk
  4. Grease a donut or muffin pan
  5. If using apple rounds, place a little batter in each then put the rounds in, then add more batter to the top. Make sure to cover the rounds
  6. Place in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes
  7. Mix together the glaze and glaze the donuts when cool, then let set and enjoy!
