Today were going to talk about something that adds a lot of flavor to dishes…. GARLIC! Why should you add it to your food?

  1. PREVENT CANCER- Garlic is shown to prevent and reduce breast cancer (1)
  2. IMMUNE SYSTEM- Garlic is antimicrobial, antiviral and anti-fungal! This is because the component allicin
  3. DEMENTIA- Garlic can be used to treat/prevent dementia. It contains antioxidants that support the body’s protective mechanisms against oxidative damage, which contributes to cognitive illnesses like dementia (2)
  4. DIABETES- It also has been shown to regulate your blood sugar levels! This means people with type II Diabetes can use garlic to help them keep there blood sugars regular (3)
